The links and phone numbers listed on this page have been carefully chosen and some even include reviews from my own experience so that you will know what to expect.

  • RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network)

  • Google crisis centers in your area, search on RAINN or contact the nonemergency number for your local police to find your nearest crisis center.

    • This may seem obvious, but I was amazed at how difficult it was for me to get through to my local crisis center. Also keep in mind that any national hotline you contact will talk you through crisis and then direct you to a local resource anyway, and sometimes the phone numbers/websites they give you will be outdated.

  • Go Ask Alice – Rape (Personal Experiences)

    • Submit a Question

    • Go Ask Alice is a health Q & A site answered and monitored by medical professionals. This is by no means an emergency service, but browsing through similar questions you may have that have been asked by others may give you some answers. You can also submit a question if you don’t find what you need, but be aware that they will only answer it if they choose to publish it and it will take some time.
